This position is one of three Assistant Transit Managers in the Campus Transit Operation. Primary duties include scheduling over 40 professional drivers; monitoring service and drivers throughout the day; adjust shifts and staffing as necessary; oversight of Transit Assistant and Disability Van Service; interact with TAPS mechanic and campus Fleet Services personnel; assist with quarterly driver bid and safety training processes and procedures; write and deliver annual performance evaluations; audit driver time sheets each day; calculate and post daily passenger totals; ensure driver time sheets each day; calculate and post daily passenger totals; ensure driver adherence to department and federal; yard management including vehicle flow, parking, and charging; operate and monitor softwares and dashboards related to transit operations such as video-based safety systems, vehicle telematics and load management systems; drive to fill shifts as needed. Closing duties include ensuring that all vehicles and facilities are secured.
