This leadership position is primarily responsible for airport safety, operational efficiency, and the airport’s compliance with CFR Part 139 and supervision of the Operations and Field Maintenance Departments. This individual participates in long- and short-term planning for departmental business activities to ensure a safe, efficient and customer-focused environment with the design, development and execution of effective policies, procedures, and operational practices. This role ensures the smooth and efficient running of the airport, focusing on airside maintenance operations, while maintaining compliance with CFR Part 139 and other federal aviation regulations. This position oversees inspections of airport facilities, including runways, taxiways, ramps, airfield perimeter barriers and buildings, obstructions, records discrepancies and corrective action when applicable. The Sr. Manager of Airside Operations will ensure that the components of the Airport Certification Manual remain current and pertinent. This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer and direct reports include Operations Manager, Field Maintenance Manager, SMS Coordinator and Environmental Specialist.
