The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), operator of Tri-Rail, is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the agency’s enterprise-wide technology vision.

As a member of the executive leadership team, the CIO is responsible for developing and executing IT strategies that power South Florida’s commuter rail system. This includes oversight of infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, digital innovation, and IT governance. The ideal candidate will bring a proven record of transforming public-sector or transportation IT environments and leading cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting strategic direction for IT initiatives, infrastructure, and cybersecurity

  • Leading enterprise-level modernization and technology roadmapping

  • Managing a high-performing IT team and multi-million-dollar budget

  • Aligning IT operations with regulatory compliance and business needs

  • Delivering innovative, customer-centric technology solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field

  • 7+ years of senior IT leadership, including 3+ years supervisory experience

  • Experience with cloud platforms, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and IT governance

  • PMP required (or obtain within 18 months); CGCIO preferred
