Bus Operator

Position Overview:

Bus Operators utilize safe driving techniques and defensive driving skills while transporting passengers to various locations, following a predetermined route. Providing professional customer service to the public, obeying local, state, and federal transit regulations as well as obeying all vehicle and traffic laws.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for transporting passengers safely following predetermined routes and
• Ensure proper pick up and drop off passengers at designated bus
• Adheres to all local, state, and federal rules and
• Responsible for the utilization of safe driving always to reduce and eliminate
• Responsible for informing the Company regarding on the road occurrences within a timely
• Responsible for proper documentation of faulty equipment during the utilization of the assigned

Position Qualifications:

• Required a minimum High School Diploma, GED or
• Must have and maintain an excellent Commercial Driver License class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsements and 19A
• Must have 5 years of driving
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
• Must be able to safely operate a bus in all weather conditions, including snow, rain, sleet and
• Must be able to successfully complete the Bus Operator Training
• Must be able to work any scheduled hours such as split shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as
