KFH Group is seeking a Transportation Analyst with an interest in public transportation to join our Rockville team in Maryland. This is a remote position for a candidate based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, including Maryland and Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter with excellent communication and quantitative skills.
As a small consulting firm specializing in public transportation, KFH Group offers employees the opportunity to contribute to many aspects of a project. Assignments may include data analysis, GIS mapping, technical writing, data visualization, public engagement, surveys, field visits, presentations, and research. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with the consulting work environment, learning new tools quickly, and translating information into clear and useful findings.
Our firm has over 30 years of experience conducting transportation development plans, comprehensive operational analyses, coordination plans, transit feasibility studies, transit facility inventories, and ADA paratransit evaluations. You'll be diving into diverse projects all while gaining invaluable experience and building your expertise. This is a remote position; however, the work arrangement may change based on the needs of the company and its clients. The successful candidate will maintain an appropriate home workspace and work effectively with geographically distributed project teams. The position is expected to involve approximately 10%–20% travel and fieldwork, depending on project needs, including occasional overnight travel and evening or weekend public-engagement activities.
